Enhancing Safety

As we continue to work to make the Grove a place people love to live, work and play, the Grove CID Safety & Security Committee has instated the following initiatives:

Grove CID Safety Window Infrastructure Program

The Grove CID has approved a budget of $50,000 from reserves to cover 50% (up to $2,500) per business to install smash resistant windows on a first-come first-serve basis.

This program will be overseen by Park Central Development, similar to the grant initiative during COVID. The Safety Window Infrastructure Program will assist with resistant glass laminate costs. Applicants must meet the below requirements. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis as funds last.

Patrols

The Grove CID provides additional security patrols in partnership with The City’s Finest.

Improving communication efforts

The Grove CID is working with our secondary patrols to create a direct line of communication between them and businesses. Businesses will be able to purchase a radio or download an app to work with TCF in real time.

This will allow businesses to have a direct line of communication to act immediately during an emergency.
